AT&T prepaid SIM card for USA vacation

In my last vacations roaming costs always became quite high. This year I got a recommendation to buy a AT&T Prepaid SIM card. You can even do this from your home country. In my case from Germany I can highly recommend: BOHL-SHOP.COM. They have a perfect webpage explaining in detail (German) how to order, activate and charge the prepaid micro SIM card from Germany. Before you start your vacation you thus have a ready to use SIM for using your mobile on your USA vacation.

I used the Email-Hotline and got additional detailed support and infos to setup APN settings for using DATA traffic (Internet +email) on the Iphone. Fantastic to find such shops with such a great support online. The SIM card by the way aarived within 2 days after online order.

decision made: my 2012 foto trip will bring me again to the Southwest

For a long time I was  indecisive either again to visit the Southwest like in 2011 or to pause USA tripping in favor of revisiting Asia, and here especially China.

I made my mind up: 2012 June will be again foto trip time to the magnificent desertlands of the Southwest. Now again indecisive either to revisite  known spots or go for something completly new…. Life is full of decisions. But no all are so sweet like these ones.

my 3rd trip to China

In May 2012 business brought me back to China. In 2010 I visited the first time China and our production facility near HongKong on China mainland. I was really happy to now get again the chance to see China, even if business trips dont give you the freedom you have on private travel. China for me is really fascinating and I love the people I met there and admire their mentality. Being in China is so totally different from any other experience. I enjoyed the 10 days in Zhongshan in the Guangdong province and also had 4 adventures days in HongKong. Of course I did lots of photos, although weather was often not adequate for good fotos. car #1: Chevrolet Equinox LT 2012

start mileage: 8960

5 days-1588 miles driven

pros: good infotainment

cons: didnt like the look and cruise feel

car #2: Jeep Grand Cherokke 2012

start mileage: 19528

10 days rent -1341 miles driven

pros: Coolest cruising-adequate off road capability-nice 3.6l/V6 engine

cons: very basic infotainemnt equipment

car #3: Ford Edge 2012

start mileage: 4971

2 days rent – 178 miles driven

pros: looks nice-best infotainment-great the Bluetooth Audio streaming could hear my iPhone music wireless

cons: weak engine 2.0l

 

My choice if I could select betweenn those three:

Collection of Desert Wild Flower photos

On my 2011 South-Utah Northern Arizona Trip I had the luck of hiking the deserts right after rainy springtime. I was amazed by the many colors and different flowers amid the dry and sparse desert landscape. It made me stop several times to take a photo with my small Ixus camera which I have always at hand.I dedicated here a collection of all these shots when hikingin the deserts around  Escalante (UT) Page (AZ) and in the Zion area. Sometimes quality is not the best but I liked the flowers and colors so I still added the photo to this album. Just click on the foto below to open the album.
