Can highly recommend this wonderful chinese movie. This was the best movie I watched during my Sicily 2010 vacation.

My Filmfest München 2010 wrap-up

I watched 14 movies this year, … despite FIFA Soccer Worldcup in Southafrica and beside the African temperatures in Munich. I would say I had better years with my picks. I liked 7 movies, 4 were boring but acceptable and 3 total flops. Here my short summary so I not forget ….

The Herzogstand - Heimgarten Hike 2010

Last year I was in bad shape it took me 7 1/2 hours for the whole hike. Kind of alarming. This year I have improved again. 1 1/2 hour to Herzogstand, 1 hour on the rim and 2 h descent and finally 1 hour back to the car. In total 5 1/2 hour, … back to normal!

German soccer cup finale

Today on our way to Hellabrunn we stopped at Saebener Street to sneak into Bayern Munichs not public closing training session, preparing for saturdays German Cup Finale in Berlin.

The complete Bayern team at closing training at Saebener Strasse Thursday May 13 1.00PM.

Letizia Battaglia, 1935 in Palermo geboren, hat ihr Leben als Fotografin, Stadträtin, Verlegerin und politische Aktivistin dem Kampf für Gerechtigkeit und Freiheit gewidmet. In ihrem leidenschaftlichen Engagement gegen die Mafia wurde die Kamera zu ihrer Waffe, ihre Bilder rüttelten auf und gaben der Mafia und den Opfern ein Gesicht. In ihren herausragenden Fotoarbeiten dokumentiert sie gesellschaftliche Verhältnisse, die von Gewalt, Trauer und Ungerechtigkeit geprägt sind. »Ich glaube wirklich, mein Leben hat erst mit der Kamera richtig begonnen«, sagt Battaglia. »Damit meine ich meine Freiheit, meine Stimme.«

Letizia Battaglia ist mit international renomierten Preisen ausgezeichnet worden. 1985 erhielt sie den W. Eugene Smith Award und 2007 wurde die »kämpferische Photographin aus Italien für ihr engagiertes Werk« von der Deutschen

Gesellschaft für Photographie mit dem Dr.-Erich-Salomon-Preis geehrt.
