Back from a Weekend in Switzerland

Like once every year this weekend we visited our friends Sonja and Volker in Winterthur/Swizzerland. During this visit we always do a Hiking Tour which this time was set up for Mount Speer in the Appenzeller Mountains. We started from Amden near the Walensee. Weather was fine but a little bit windy and colder than usual. Ideal waether for Hiking. We closed the weekend trip with a visit in the Schaffhausen Rhine falls, a spectacular waterfall of the river rhine. Here a foto on our Stop in the upper Chäseren Alm where we ate a “Gersten” (barley) Soup.

My first travel to Asia: Penang-Malaysia

Early July I had the chance to travel the first time in my life to Asia. I had to give some training to colleagues in our factory in Penang Malaysia. Beside the humid weather it was a great experience in many ways, cultural, food, people and nature.

 I made knowledge of fruits never heard of before. Below my first contact with the Durian fruit aka the “King of fruits”. Its a fruit loved by the people there which has one big disadvantage. It smells ugly.In hotels and in rental cars you always see the No Durians sign, cause their smell is so disgusting. Neverheless people in Malaysia eat the Durian in small stands on the street side.

Christiane's Birthday

For Christiane’s birthday I had prepared a trip to Velden at Lake Wörther See in Kärnten/Austria. I left her guessing until we arrived in Velden. We had three wonderful days in Velden at nice Hotel with private Beach. On our first day we made a bike tour around the Lake. The second day was Christiane’s birthday were we relaxed at the hotel beach, had a nice dinner at the lake and some fun in the Velden Casino.
